Why would a company who's offices look like this be the focus of hackers? Surely hackers want shinier companies to hack into, ones with the money? Why hack a company like this and breach their data and firewalls?
The much vaunted PWC study and projections from 2013 points to large growth and many of its predictions are coming true as we see likes of AirBnB and its many copycats create value for home owners, seeing a huge change in availability. Scooters, Cycles and soon autonomous vehicles will all add to this shifting business model.

The latest CSU forecast is out for the 2019 Hurricane Season and we have looked at the data going back to 1851 and added some interesting trend-lines. This is very early in the forecast season and it will be updated as we move closer to the 1st June typical season kick-off!

2018 was expected to be a quite year from Hurricane damage and so it proved to be compared with 2017. However, losses from natural and man-made disasters are estimated to total $155 billion (136 billion euros) this year, so says the reinsurance giant Swiss Re this week.

Common sense say that you should never reveal your personal information online. Sometimes, though, you can't avoid it. When you buy the latest drone or smart speaker online, you give the merchant your address for shipping, credit card details for payment, and email address for notifications. And then all you get is a huge bill and disappointment. Hacking Survey after Data Breach Survey and news report after news story are pointing that people have experienced a hacking attack like malware, data breach, credit card fraud, or ransomware. What could be more important than providing insurance to help someone rebuild their life after a catastrophe —and then in particular, if they are already low-income and vulnerable? This is why I am in insurance, why I believe in microinsurance - microinsurance has the capability to allow people to rebuild after a catastrophe.
This years global conference was in Hong Kong and was a great opportunity to meet with old friends and to kick off some new business.
